Program Notes: Ave, Regina Cœlorum is a composition for mixed choir that shows a never-stopping stream of energy. This short piece is a celebration of the Virgin Mary. I wanted to create what the text so desperately said in every line: a glorious outburst of praise that leads to an entreat to the Virgin to pray for us. The final measures can be seen both a worship and a supplication for the mother of God to hear us.
