Program Notes: My first composition and the one that gave me the motivic idea for my operetta Un Cuento de Luces y Sombras. I have always said that my pieces allow me to know more about myself and as a way of honoring that, I quote them in other pieces. It felt completely right to based one of my most important works in this brief but somehow powerful piece. Back then in 2013, I took the first draft to a composition workshop with Maestra Beatriz Corona who let me know I could write music and I should pursue this path.
