The Happy Choir Podcast: for singers, conductors, and composers!

If you are like me, totally obsessed about choral music, then you have probably look for a podcast about choral music. There are many out there that I will share with you but for a brief moment, I want to be a little selfish and share with you my podcast: The Happy Choir Podcast (find me in Spotify, Apple Podcast, or Buzzsprout).

The Happy Choir Podcast

I recently found that I enjoy listening to podcasts while I drive, or exercise, or even in my office as I work! They have taught me a lot about music, business, networking, and many more things.

I want to join this art form and offer my voice and ideas to the conversations out there. It has already been a fun experience to try to speak English in a coherent way (haha).

Vowels? Lots of consonants? Mistakes?

Speaking English is hard, right? I don’t have so many different vowel sounds. Wait, that’s related to singing… Yes, you are discovering how much I had to work in rehearsals to match vowels. Nevertheless, I had the help of generous friends at the University of Houston Concert Chorale who were constantly listening to me and correcting my pronunciation.

The Episodes

Below you will find the episodes and you can visit each one of the links to find the show notes. The Happy Choir Podcast will include Personal stories, advice, but my favorite kind: Actionable advice. As I learn this new skill, I also welcome recommendations and ideas.

You can send them to me at carlos@thehappychoir.com

These episodes will include themes such as time management, repertoire ideas, rehearsal techniques, software and apps recommendations, how to guides, personal stories, jokes, confessions, secrets, and much more, mostly all related to choral music (singing, conducting, composing) and the mandatory night out after a, successful or not, concert/rehearsal.
